The Carnot Cycle Efficiency

The Carnot Cycle Efficiency is the calculation of the
maximum possible efficiency of a system based on its
operating temperatures.  Actual systems are not capable of
meeting the efficiency levels calculated using Carnot
Analysis, but it is an excellent indicator of the potential of
actual systems.  Systems with high Carnot Cycle efficiencies
consistently outperform systems with low Carnot Cycle
efficiencies.
